Weird || 2020 in General
2020 was a strange year, to put it mildly, so here’s a strange photo from when I was setting up the camera at Claire’s bachelorette party.
With a year where it is painfully clear that nothing was guaranteed, I find myself especially grateful for the constants in this world, and the moments when hope and grace find me when I don’t have the energy to search for them.
The spring flowers still bloomed. My people still found beautiful and meaningful ways to help me believe that I am known and loved. I still find rest in the sound of the waves on Lake Michigan. The squirrels still got rounder and rounder as winter approached. The first snow still feels like magic. And even on the days where it feels impossible when I consider the state of the world, there is an unexplainable twinge of certainty somewhere, deep in my gut, that God is still good.
