On the day of a tornado, one of my roommates casually mentioned that any of us could join her for a weekend out in Oregon.

10 days later, we were in Portland! We spent Saturday at Powell’s and local wineries, Sunday on the coast, and Monday back at Powell’s and exploring downtown.
